Saltburn Evangelical Church
Sunday services 10.30am & 6.00pm
A typical service follows a simple pattern.
There will be worship, including prayer, Bible reading and singing. (A mix of classic hymns, gospel hymns and modern worship songs is accompanied by piano in the morning and guitars at night.)
Children leave the service after the first few minutes for their own teaching and activities.
There will be a speaker who will present a message based on one or more Bible passages. This typically lasts 30 minutes or more.
A hymn or worship song normally brings the service to a close.
Some services include Communion, where we remember that God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son for us. Broken bread - His broken body; poured out wine - His poured out blood. If you love and trust Jesus as your Lord and Saviour you are welcome to receive communion. Otherwise you can simply watch without embarrassment.
No collection plate is passed around in our services.
If a church service is not something you're not familiar with you're not alone ... and you're still very welcome!
